The Hérault CCI puts on the heating blue and organizes, on Wednesday November 20, its second Orientation Nightn (from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.) in its premises located in Mauguio, in the Montpellier Méditerranée airport area. Last year, for the premiere of this dedicated event to recruitmentmore than 1,300 people (young people, people planning professional retraining, job seekers, etc.) were invited to the walls of the CCI.
More spaces this year
The 2024 edition, which still promises to facilitate direct meetings between recruiting companies and the public, should experience at least equal success. The CCI has therefore prepared to cope with the crowds: part of the event will take place within the walls of the aeronautics school, ESMAlocated right next to the CCI headquarters. ” This year, more than a hundred professionals will be present all day to explain their needs and present their professions,” confirms Katy Garcias, vice-president of the CCI Hérault in charge of Training.
“We make the following observation: two worlds do not talk much to each other, young people and businesses… It is therefore crucial to connect job seekers directly with businesses”
The elected consular official specifies that more than one twenty sectors of activity, from tourism to cinema, will be represented: “In addition to recruitment, the objective of this event is to allow all those who need to discover orientation devices in order to build their personal career paths… The professionals working alongside us, most of them business leaders, will be on hand to share their experiences and encourage vocations ».
With the rectorate and France Travail
High school, college and university students are expected near Mauguio next Wednesday (i.e. a third of the 2023 visitors) but also job seekers and people undergoing professional retraining. Organized in partnership with the rectorate et France Travail, this Orientation Night is imagined as a sort of win-win “pact”: “Today, we make the following observation: two worlds do not talk much to each other, young people and businesses… It is therefore crucial to connect audiences looking for a job directly with companies », explains the president of the CCI Hérault, André Deljarrywho believes he has found the right formula with this event.
Favor direct exchange
“Our economic fabric is made up of more than 90% of VSE-SMEs which have recruitment needs but who meet difficulties in recruiting “, he assures: “This is why we favor direct exchangethis is the whole point of this Orientation Night which allows us to connect various profiles (from young people to job seekers) with future employers… This event will allow everyone to explore the various professions within a company, to discover careers that are less known but offer real opportunitiesand above all, it is very important, to consider their professional future in a positive way… And then, let's not forget that companies must also anticipate the jobs of tomorrowincluding those that we do not yet know,” concludes André Deljarry.
Orientation Night: highlights
If more than 100 professionals and partners will be available to the public for direct meetings, or speed meetings, the event also includes conferences, workshops (coaching and personal development), a digital center to test their interests and discover your professional profile and the essential Orient'Express center run by orientation specialists to develop and validate your professional project. “A new feature this year to highlight: a Flash Workshops center which will allow everyone to boost their abilities to define a personal project,” explains Katy Garcias.
