Since 1987, the Jean Dumur Prize each year rewards a journalist who demonstrates journalistic courageof search for truth, d’independence and clarity of expression.
Its ambition and longevity make it the most important journalism prize in French-speaking Switzerland. The jury is made up of experienced journalists and former winners gathered within the Friends of Jean Dumur. In 2023the journalist and legal columnist Fati Mansour received this award.
This price contributes to value and make the profession known to the public. It owes its name to Jean Dumura great figure in Swiss journalism, editor-in-chief of La Tribune de Lausanne, head of the Information department then Director of Programs at RTS, died prematurely at the age of 56 in 1986 in Geneva.
The Ceremony of the 2024 Jean Dumur Prize will start at 7 p.m.she is open to the publicc, upon registration on pressclub.ch
