It’s a rather little-known passion that Kévin Lefevre, a resident of Bellencombre, indulges in. Seine-Maritime : the construction of transport, public works and agricultural machinery but in miniature version.

More precisely, in 1/14 scale.

We try to be as realistic as possible

For this excavator driver, this passion does not come from nowhere.

“I already had an interest in machines, but when I discovered this practice four years ago it immediately fascinated me”he explains.

He then joined an existing association in the region before creating his own, Transport and TP RC (radio-controlled public transport) , a year ago with friends, who also had a penchant for miniatures.

Together, they build miniature construction sites with transport and public works machines with the aim of participating in exhibitions and rolling their machines during demonstrations.

Passion and patience

It takes many hours to get a truck into working order.

The association's office, made up of four people, has its own way of doing things.

Each is specialized in a type of construction: trucks, decor, stickers and electronics and finally structural work decors like buildings.

“We take turns passing around the elements to build so that everyone does their part”explains Kévin Lefevre.

I do not put a limit on the number of members, on the contrary, I accept everyone.

Currently, there are eight volunteers but the president sees bigger: “I really hope that many of us will share our passion and ride together. »

But this passion has a cost, between €1,000 and €8,000 for a truckso Kévin Lefevre has his tips.

To create the decorations, he relies on the recovery of materials of all kinds.

So, he hopes that the prospect of building and exhibiting to others will delight enthusiasts, or conquer those who are new.
