The Deux-Sèvres departmental criminal court convicted him on September 27, 2024 for repeated rapes of a minor committed between 1996 and 2001. Facts which took place in several cities in France, Perpignan, Montreuil but also Lusignan in Vienne, on his sister-in-law.
Le Mellois, father of six children, has always denied it. He appeared free during this trial, placed under judicial supervision since his indictment in Poitiers in 2016. He was sentenced to twelve years of criminal imprisonment and has since been incarcerated in Niort.
