Netflix added the film by Cédric Anger Next time I'll aim for the heart to its catalog. For those who missed it, this film, released in 2014, returns to the affair of Oise killer and traces the history of Constable Alain Lamarea man who killed young women in the late 1970s and who investigated his own crimes, before being caught by the law.
The case of the Oise killer
In this film released in theaters in 2014, police officer Alain Lamare is played on screen by actor Guillaume Canet. In this feature film, the gendarme's name has been changed. His name is no longer Alain but Franck. But it is the story of Alain Lamare that is being told.
Nicknamed the Oise killer, Alain Lamare took action in 1978 by shooting a 17-year-old young woman three times. She will only be slightly injured. Despite the description of his vehicle, Alain Lamare escapes the investigators. It was then that he wrote to investigators to make anonymous confessions and mentioned other attacks.
Alain Lamare declared irresponsible and interned
These letters will be regular. In one of his letters, the killer wrote: “Next time, I will aim for the heart.” He finally carried out his threat in 1979, killing a 19-year-old hitchhiker. A few weeks later, he attacked another young woman. He shoots her several times, hitting her spine and paralyzing her for life.
Little by little, the noose tightens around Alain Lamare. He will end up confessing. His fingerprints will be found at one of the crime scenes.
The fact remains that he was never convicted. Alain Lamare was declared irresponsible for his actions and sent to a psychiatric hospital.
If in this series the names of all the protagonists have been changed, the film situates its story in the Oise and in particular in the surroundings of Senlis and Chantilly. But viewers will not find any familiar location in the image, the filming having taken place in Pas-De-Calais and mainly in the surroundings of Arras, Lens, Hénin-Beaumont…
