Saturday November 9around 4:30 p.m., two children aged 11 ans were circulating at scooter when they were struck at the corner of rue de la Renaissance and rue de la Guitoune, in Vernon (Eure).
The driver of the vehicle, a young man of 23, did not see the children arriving who were both on the same scooter.
Transported in absolute emergency
One of them was transported to absolute emergency without his vital prognosis having been compromised:
“He was urgently evacuated to the Rouen hospital center because he had a broken arm and he was sedated because he was in too much pain. »
The second young person was transported to Évreux hospital for bruising. The two friends came from the Valmeux district, as for the driver, he lives in Boutardes.

Ongoing investigation
“Alcohol and aptitude tests revealed nothing. The driver was unable to see them and the recklessness of the two young people would have caused the accident. »
An investigation into unintentional injury is still open. The victims and drivers will be interviewed by the police.
