The weekend of November 9 and 10, 2024 was deadly on the roads of Morbihan. A pregnant woman died in Brech, a pedestrian died after being knocked down in Pont-Scorff. In a post published Tuesday, November 12 on Facebook, the gendarmerie insists: “The road should no longer be synonymous with drama. »

A call for awareness

It also warns about behaviors: “Our action will not, however, be able to prevent tragedies if real and profound awareness is not created in the minds of all drivers. » For example, she indicates that, during the weekend, a “young driver” on the motorbike was checked by the departmental road safety squadron on the RD 767 in Évellys at a speed of 231 km/h on a road limited to 110 km/h.

The police, who remind us that they control “with the sole objective of allowing everyone to circulate peacefully”, are sorry: “The results of our checks are pathetic: blood alcohol level, driving under drugs, speeding, lack of insurance, driving without a license, refusal to comply…”
