Present at the Benjamin St-Juste Foundation l’Originale golf tournament, the Victoriaville athlete said he was already looking forward to returning to Atlanta on July 25 to participate in the Falcons training camp.

“It started well last year, but in the NFL you can never take anything for granted,” explained Bergeron, an offensive lineman. It’s a tough league, where you have to work hard every day to keep your place. You can’t afford to take time off.”

Bergeron was happy to come and encourage Benjamin St-Juste, one of the three Quebecers to have played in the NFL last season with him and Bromontois Sidy Sow.

“What Benjamin is doing for young people and football in Quebec is fantastic. I would certainly have taken part in his football camp back in the day. There are young people who will play in the Canadian League or even the NFL and who will say one day that they participated in Benjamin’s camp.

Bergeron also had good words for Sow, with whom he visited the New England Patriots facilities before the draft.

“We arrived in the NFL at the same time and he impressed everyone on a team that was struggling. Sidy is a discreet guy, who does his business, but he is a good person and a true professional. I am convinced that he will have a great career.”
