According to the first elements of the investigation, he lost control of his car. He rolled several times before being ejected from the vehicle, which crushed him. A tragedy occurred in the town of Florensac (Hérault) on the night of Sunday 10 to Monday 11 November 2024. According to information from Free Midday a 25-year-old man died after losing control of his car which was traveling at high speed. He rolled several times and was ejected from the vehicle, which then crushed him.
An “improbable and surreal scene”
His car also hit other vehicles that were parked in the street, indicate our colleagues at France 3 Occitanie . Alerted, emergency services quickly rushed to the scene to help the victim. When they arrived, he was unconscious. They tried to resuscitate him, to no avail. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation was opened to determine the precise circumstances of the facts. According to initial information relayed by local media, the driver was filmed by video surveillance cameras doing an urban rodeo when the accident occurred. On Facebook, the mayor of the town mentioned a “improbable and surreal scene” which occurred in the city center even though it was limited to 30 km/h.
