The evening from Saturday 9 to Sunday 10 November 2024 ended badly at L'Imperio Club in Pierrelaye (Val-d'Oise). A customer, unhappy at having been turned away earlier, came back armed and shot the security guards. One of them was injured in the leg and taken to hospital in relative emergency. The victim's colleagues, at the same time, managed to control the shooter, who was then arrested by the police. His accomplice, however, managed to escape, indicates The Parisian . He is still wanted by law enforcement.
The shooter was slightly injured and treated by emergency services. He was then taken into custody. He was already known to the police, as was his missing companion.
An administrative closure
The man was to be questioned during the day to try to determine his motives, reports The Val-d'Oise Gazette . The next day, the prefecture announced on Facebook that the nightclub was subject to a two-month administrative closure.
As the local newspaper recalls in a second article, this is not the first time that events of this type have taken place in this nightclub. A security guard had already been injured by a shotgun blast, used by a turned away customer, in 2016.
