The City of Montreal Police Department is investigating a series of fires that targeted the Social bar in Verdun.

The Social bar, located in the Verdun borough of Montreal, was targeted by a third arson attack in less than two weeks. The new incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM), an incendiary object was placed in front of the building on Wellington Street, without causing any damage. Passersby called 911.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this event. Police are still searching for suspects.

THE SPVM indicates that this establishment on Wellington Shopping Street is the subject of special attention, having already been targeted twice earlier this month.
This last episode, however, is the least intense
of the three, points out agent Jean-Pierre Brabant.
During the first two fire attempts, the door and window were damaged, and the incendiary object was placed directly in the building.
