A magical Christmas holiday in the heart of the most visited site in France. This is the opportunity offered by SNCF. The railway company will reopen a direct line connecting Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel from Friday December 20, 2024as spotted by the Le Bonbon website. The opportunity to treat yourself to an exotic weekend outing at a relatively affordable cost.
Less than four hours by train
To do this, you will have to leave from Montparnasse station (15th). Then go back up Normandy to reach Pontorson station, with a journey of 3 hours 50 minutes. This small town in La Manche is located nine kilometers from the site listed on the UNESCO world heritage. Getting there will require taking a shuttle.
From the capital, a ticket will cost 29 euros one way. The return will be made by paying a sum of €20. Families should find something to suit them. Because a 50% reduction will be effective for children aged 4 to 11. Children under 4 years old can travel for free.
An architectural jewel, Mont-Saint-Michel, topped with its famous abbey, welcomes nearly 4 million people each year. A significant flow which increases during the holidays. This is why the SNCF strengthens its offer in July and August, with one daily return trip during the week, and two at the weekend.
