A major project for the large Eure-et-Loir road viaduct
This viaduct, 465 meters long, will be the largest road viaduct in the department. Its construction is part of a global program to modernize and secure the road network, with the development of a 1.2 km portion to connect the sections of the Nogent-le-Roi diversion, carried out between 2015 and 2023 to Nogent-le-Roi, Coulombs and Lormaye.

An environmentally friendly construction site
After the installation and site preparation phases, the work will continue for several months, with an estimated completion date of 1is quarter 2026. « So that the work of art fits into the landscape, the choice fell on a rust-colored steel frame. », explains Stéphane Lemoine, 1is Vice-president of the Departmental Council. The work is carried out taking into account the particularities of the site. Thus, a diagnosis revealed the presence of archaeological furniture dating from Prehistory at the foot of the future viaduct. A light backfill will therefore be carried out to avoid damaging these elements.
In addition, a certain number of protected species have been identified in this area, such as the amphibian vole, the verderolle warbler and the common noctule. “Specific measures will be put in place to avoid disturbing these species during the work, in particular to respect the species schedule. An ecologist and a design office will ensure the preservation of species », specifies Stéphane Lemoine.
