For all non-binary people in Switzerland, it was a victory full of hope. By “breaking the codes” – as his winning song asserts – Nemo not only finally offered Switzerland a new coronation at Eurovision, but also relaunched the political debate on the recognition of a third gender. And despite the great amount of support received, the non-binary artist from Bienne also had to face torrents of hatred on social networks, brutal testimonies of an acceptance that is still very difficult by a part of the population.
