Casablanca hosts the Forum Centraliens Supélec, an annual event placed under the high royal patronage which brings together ministers, experts, representatives of the business world, decision-makers and elected officials.
Placed under the theme “Morocco 2035: What contributions from the Private Sector? », this 8th edition, organized over two days (November 10 and 11), made it possible to explore the roles and possible contributions of the private sector in achieving Morocco’s ambitions for 2035. It looks at the contributions of the private sector in the economic construction and development of the Morocco of tomorrow.
During his speech, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, returned to the four strategic axes of the New Development Model (NMD): competitiveness, productivity, value chains and sovereignty. He highlighted the progress made in the industrial field, stressing however the need for Morocco to be able to meet its own needs.
« We want to reindustrialize and recover our economic strength. We want to be able to meet our own needs. Our strength must be integration and sovereignty », noted Mezzour, who calls on the private and public sector to “work on strengthening our competitive capacity, through the adaptation of our tools and innovation ».
In her opening remarks, the director of the Forum, Majda Moumni, recalled that Morocco is engaging in major projects and investing in the development of its industrial ecosystems… “ With private sector involvement, we will be able to accelerate our transformation towards an innovative, prosperous and inclusive Morocco “, she noted.
This edition of the Forum will be an opportunity for speakers to propose strategies so that private investment increases from one third to two thirds of investment in Morocco, in alignment with the recommendations of the NMD. Around twenty recommendations should be proposed at the end of the discussions.
