It is now a tradition, every 6 months, the Ariège Attrabilité Agency in partnership with the Departmental Council organizes a welcome evening for medical interns doing internships in Ariège. This Wednesday, November 6, 2024, there were more than forty of them on the heights of the magnificent Roques castle in Teilhet to first attend the university welcome from Professor Jordan Birebent before enjoying a semi-gastronomic evening around the Chiaroscuro company. As an interlude, they were welcomed by the elected officials of the territory including the President of the Community of Communes of Pays de Mirepoix, Alain Toméo, the Departmental Councilor of the Canton Nicole Quillen, the Vice-President of the Departmental Council for Solidarity Marie- Vilaplana, the President of the integration and solidarity commission of the Department of Ariège, Michel Pichan as well as the health partners Marie-Odile Audric, Director of the ARS, the President of the Council of the Order of Physicians, Doctor Boussaton, the CPAM… In their speech, all praised a dynamic, cultural, sporting, natural, welcoming Ariège… to end with a delivery of gifts consisting of local products and entries to Ariège tourist sites. For the most part, these future practitioners are not Ariégeois. It is therefore a question of introducing them to the living environment of the region, its attractions, as well as the opportunities for establishment and support from which they could benefit. In other words: make them want to settle down as health professionals in Ariège after their training!
