On vacation since May 31, Sadio Mané went to the country where he met the Senegalese Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko.

On early vacation since his injury exit with Al-Nassr against Al-Hilal in the final of the King’s Cup in Saudi Arabia (1-1, 5 tab 4), Sadio Mané took advantage of his free time to recharge his batteries in the country. The opportunity for the winger to miss the last gathering with the Senegal team to meet another prophet in his country, Ousmane Sonko, the prime minister whose party blocked outgoing president Macky Sall, who had become highly unpopular.

“Happy with the audience that Prime Minister Mr. Ousmane Sonko granted me this Friday”posted the star supporting photos on his official X account, after the meeting at the prime minister’s office. “The discussions revolved around the issues of the day and development”he then indicated.

More concretely, it was about the investment ambitions of the native of Bambaly in the agro-industry, but above all to offer visibility to the national airline via the Bourges Foot 18 club, owned by Mané since October 2023. “I received Mr. Sadio Mané who came to talk to me about his sports projects in Senegal, but especially about his ambitions to invest in the agro-industry. (…) I also magnify Sadio’s patriotic decision to offer free advertising to our national company Air Senegal through a display on the jerseys of the Bourges Foot 18 club of which he is the owner”affirmed Sonko in comments reported by

Sadio Mané is highly appreciated by his compatriots for his actions on the social and economic levels. Last January, he made build and inaugurate a pitch to FIFA standards in his native villagefor the happiness of some 2000 inhabitants.
