Caught in the act of drug trafficking, this Thursday, November 7, a butler from Matignon was sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 3,000 euros.
A butler of the Prime Minister was sentenced this Saturday, November 9, to one year in prison for transporting, detaining, acquiring, offering or selling narcotics and a fine of 3,000 euros, according to information provided by the prosecution to Le Parisien.
The 26-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, in the middle of a transaction. 51 grams of cocaine were found in his scooter, worth around 3,300 euros. A sum of money of 1,400 euros was also found on the man by the police.
1 year in prison and 3,000 euros fine
He had confessed to the facts as soon as he was taken into police custody and benefited from an appearance for prior admission of guilt. The butler was therefore fined 3,000 euros and one year in prison; half corresponds to a suspended sentence, the firm part can be adapted to home detention with an electronic bracelet.
Trained as a hotel manager, the young man joined Matignon in 2022. He had been suffering from depressive and anxiety disorders for several months, and has been on sick leave since March 2023.
