A free party, launched during the night from Friday to Saturday, is still in progress on Saturday November 9 in the town of Pithiviers.
The rave is held in an abandoned building along rue René-Cassin, behind the E.Leclerc hypermarket. The Pithiviers gendarmerie company reports one hundred to two hundred partygoers on the scene.
“Not a big gathering, but there’s a boom boom.” Which, however, hardly bothers the local residents to the extent that “there are mainly industrial and office buildings around”, explains this officer, whose men “have been engaged since this morning (Saturday)”.

Personnel from all units of the Pithivierian gendarmerie company are engaged, from Pithiviers, but also Beaune-la-Rolande and Neuville-aux-Bois. The military carries out operations to control blood alcohol levels and drug consumption. They are still mobilized to prevent new arrivals (because “it comes from almost everywhere, Paris region…”) in the building housing the sound wall.
