This Saturday evening, for the inaugural meeting of the Blues' November tour, only 50,000 places were taken. However, this is a record attendance for a match against Japan.

According to our information, 49,700 places were sold for the first test match of the XV of tour. Despite the return, after 13 months of absence, of star Antoine Dupont with the Blues, the poster was not enough to fill up. The third level of the Stade de France was even closed for this meeting.

But, with nearly 50,000 spectators, the FFR can rejoice in a record attendance against the Brave Blossoms, the previous confrontations having been played in the provinces with lower gauges.

A record on the entire tour

The next test, next Saturday, against the All Blacks has been attractive since almost all of the 80,000 tickets have already been sold. The last test, on Friday 22, against Argentina will also be played in well-stocked stands, 70,000 places having already been taken.

Still according to our information, combined with the three tests, this tour will however constitute a record with 200,000 spectators. The consequence, for the first time, of not relocating one of the three matches to the provinces and therefore benefiting from the capacity of the Dyonisian enclosure, the highest in France (80,000 seats).
