The firefighters were mobilized this Saturday November 9, 2024 early in the afternoon for an impressive traffic accident. Around 1:45 p.m., a car traveling on departmental road 42 between Nîmes and the town of Saint-Gilles left its trajectory to end up in the ditch, on the other side of the road. The only cause was that the vehicle rolled several times before ending up on its roof.

A 22-year-old man seriously injured

On board the car was a single occupant, a young man aged 22. Seriously injured, he was treated by a medical team on site before being rushed to the Carémeau hospital center in Nîmes. At the scene of the accident, the firefighters were supported by the national gendarmerie as well as the road teams from the Gard Departmental Council. The latter ensured the security of the area.
