After the announcement of the candidacy of the two outgoing deputies, Huguette Tiegna and Aurélien Pradié at the start of the week, This Friday, June 14, 2024, the name of the two candidates for the “New Popular Front” of Lot should be made official. This is’Elsa Bougeard (La France Insoumise) for the 1time constituency and Christophe Proença (Socialist Party) for 2e constituency.

These two new candidates immediately appear to be the most threatening challengers for the outgoing deputies. They will wear the colors of the left-wing alliance, called the “New Popular Front” bringing together the Socialist Party (PS), France Insoumise (LFI), the Greens and the Communist Party (PC).

Already candidates in 2022

In 2022, in the first constituency facing Aurélien Pradié, Elsa Bougeard totaling 35.37% of the votes was beaten in the second round by the outgoing deputy (64.63%). On the 2e constituency, Christophe Proença (PS) arrived in 3e position behind Thierry Grossmy (La France Insoumise), leaving the victory to Huguette Tiegna with 34.14%.

Return to the polls on Sunday June 30 (1er round) and on Sunday July 7 in those of the 577 constituencies which require it, for the second round.
