Casablanca is currently seeing the launch of several projects. One of the most important is that of the redevelopment and upgrading of roads, including the rehabilitation of existing ones and sidewalks in the city of Casablanca.

The economic lung of Morocco, Casablanca is a bustling metropolis in perpetual change. It has several assets including its art deco heritage and its various road and motorway connections. Open to the Atlantic and with a strategic geographical position, Casablanca is at the crossroads between the main Moroccan cities. However, the city is experiencing galloping urban growth, a significant demographic increase in addition to the growth in traffic within its main arteries. This requires strengthening its network and rehabilitating it. Currently, Casablancais is getting a makeover. Several projects are underway to restore the city’s influence after several years of projects at half mast. Indeed, the municipality of Casablanca is working on the redevelopment and upgrading of roads, including the rehabilitation of existing ones and sidewalks in the city of Casablanca. To achieve this, it has just launched technical studies for the project management. In total, the lanes of 15 boulevards are affected by the project program, namely Boulevard Tah, Boulevard Lalla Asmaa, Boulevard Afghanistan, Boulevard Ibnou Al Wannane, Boulevard Oued Zem, Boulevard Zagora, Boulevard La Mecca, the upper Anfa lanes , Boulevard Abderrahim Bouabid, Boulevard Hbib Sinaceur, Boulevard Panoramique, Boulevard de Nice, Boulevard Bordeaux, Boulevard Ziraoui and Boulevard le Lido. This approach includes the redevelopment or construction of roadways, the redevelopment or construction of sidewalks, the redevelopment or construction of pedestrian paths, rainwater drainage, public lighting, street furniture, horizontal and vertical signage and landscaping of pathways. In addition, the studies concerned will relate to the design of road development, the development of pedestrian paths, the redevelopment of sidewalks, the development of irrigated recreational and landscaped spaces, the redevelopment of existing roundabouts, the creation of new roundabouts, and the redevelopment of connection intersections. Added to this is the redevelopment of the rainwater drainage network and the construction of hydraulic works, the restoration of the sanitation, drinking water and electricity network, the construction of public lighting networks, signage, video surveillance as well as watering of green spaces. This project should also include the creation of ambient lighting networks, the protection and/or diversion of existing networks and structures, or even the development and creation of parking lots, and the installation of street furniture.
