Claire Raulin, prefect of Lot, prohibits festive gatherings of a musical nature as well as the transport of amplified music equipment until Tuesday, November 12.

Undeclared gatherings could indeed be organized as is sometimes the case on three-day weekends like this.

Faced with the risks of disturbing public order represented by these groupings without prior declaration, the prefect of Lot issued a ban order for the entire department.

“Consequently, festive gatherings of a musical nature set out in article R.211-2 of the code are prohibited throughout the territory of the Lot department from Friday November 8 at 5 p.m. to Tuesday November 12 at 9 a.m. of internal security, except those legally declared or authorized.” On the other hand, over the same period, the circulation of vehicles transporting equipment likely to be used for one or more festive events of a musical nature of the tecknival, rave or free-party type, (sound system, sound system, amplifier, etc.) on the entire road network of the Lot department is also prohibited. “Any offense is punishable by the sanctions provided for by article R.211-27 of the internal security code and may give rise to the seizure of the material with a view to its confiscation by the court” continues the prefect of Lot.

She adds: “The security and protection of all are the priority of state services. The security forces will once again be fully mobilized to ensure the maintenance of public order.” The prefect of Lot calls on everyone “to show responsibility by respecting these measures taken for the safety of all”.
