Legislative elections 2024: Who will be the candidates for the 4th constituency of Gard

Unlike the 3rd constituency of Gard, where the casting is not yet completely defined, the 4th constituency knows all of its candidates, barring any surprises.

For the National Rally, it is Pierre Meurin, who just a few weeks after the end of the municipal elections in Pont-Saint-Esprit, where he was elected opposition municipal councilor, was invested by the RN authorities to aim for a second mandate deputy of the 4th.

Pierre Martin for LR who refuses an agreement with the RN:

In the midst of a period of unrest, the Republican party revealed the name of its candidate for the 4th constituency of Gard, it is Pierre Martin, 44 years old, engaged for almost 30 years, alongside Max Roustan of whom he is the 11th deputy in charge of infrastructure, veterans and defense.

Facing him is Arnaud Bord, already a candidate in 2022 and beaten in the second round by Pierre Meurin, who will wear the colors of the left. He will be replaced by the vice-president of the department Cathy Chaulet, elected in the canton of Rousson. The presidential party will be represented by Nadia El Okki, invested this Thursday by the Renaissance authorities. Nathalie Arthaud’s Lutte Ouvrière party has also nominated Jérôme Garcia, already a candidate in 2022.

Candidates in 2022, Philippe Ribot, mayor of Saint Privat des Vieux, announced that he would not be a candidate for these early legislative elections in order to focus on the future of the citizens of his municipality. At Reconquête, the trend would be towards an absence of candidate in order to ratify the right-wing union agreement put forward by Marion Maréchal Le Pen.
