The football field in the town of Esmery-Hallon will come back to life from August. In fact, for about two years, there was no longer a team at Esmery-Hallon, which just suited the neighboring club of Ercheu which was looking for a field for the future season for a relocation.
A new start for RC Ercheu
” Following a disagreement with the municipality of Ercheu, we wanted to leaveexplains Jonathan Goncalves, president of the Ercheu club. We knew that the Esmery football field was unused and we met François Laloi, mayor of Esmery-Hallon, who welcomed us with open arms. So, we relocated. The Ercheu Racing Club will now be called the Esmery-Hallon Athletic Club. We had very good responsiveness from the municipality of Esmery, which gave us a subsidy of €150 and ensured the mowing of the two pitches that we were able to obtain: the main pitch and the training pitch. “
Strong teams and results for the club
” We have a senior team which finished in fifth place in D5 and which lost in the semi-final of the Fromentin Cup. We will start the new season with a D5 team, a B team which will evolve into D6. We will have table football for children aged 3 to 5, a U6-U7 team and perhaps an U8-U9 team. Currently, we have 25 players, and we expect to have more than 40 at the start of the school year and ten children “, adds the president before continuing: “ We also have a strong leadership team. Christophe Demarin will coach the first team, Florent Klein, the B team, Jonathan Mauborgne and Christophe Demarin, the babies, Kyllian Nogent and Cyril Tribouillard, the U6-U7 “.
A new optimistic Esmery-Hallon club
Then, Jonathan Goncalvez explains the upcoming projects: “ the club will organize an open day on June 26, a senior tournament on July 6, as well as general Olympics on the same day, a flea market on August 11 on the town square, the first round of the World Cup France on August 25, a lottery at the end of the year. The club is looking for sponsors and willing referees, too,” before concluding : “Everything comes together to have a good 2024/2025 season. There is a good state of mind in the club and the players want to do well. We will have to wait for the first round of the Coupe de France and the start of the championship to know where we are“.
Training will be as follows: Tuesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for seniors, Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for young people, every other Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for babies.
