It is a long-term investigation which resulted in the arrest of eight individuals, including a minor, over the last three days in the capital. All would be involved in vast organized drug trafficking, mainly in Paris and neighboring departments, a police source told “Parisien” this Thursday.
The investigation began in September 2023, when the judicial police used information about a young woman, supposedly a taxi driver. His vehicle displays the signage of a taxi but without it being associated with any authorization. In her car, the young woman delivered various drugs in the capital and the Ile-de-France region.
MDMA, cannabis, cocaine, weapons…
“She received orders via encrypted applications,” explains this same police source. She then went to get supplies from two individuals. » Investigators then discovered a highly organized drug trafficking network, within which many protagonists were involved.
On June 10, 11 and 12, the authorities ended up arresting eight people, including a minor, and searches were carried out leading to important discoveries. In total, 1 kg of MDMA, 48 g of cannabis resin, 10 g of cocaine, 212 g of ecstasy as well as “packaging equipment, a money counter, an automatic weapon, a shotgun and more than 18 000 euros in cash” were seized.
