His fate will be decided next Tuesday. In the meantime, Mardoché Mouly, known as Marco Mouly, or the “king of scam”, was released from prison last week, reports The Parisian. The crook, made famous by the series Of money and bloodhad been incarcerated since March 13 at La Santé prison after presenting himself to the courts to be re-incarcerated, after the partial revocation of his suspended sentence last March. “I'm not going on the run, I'm surrendering, the run no longer exists,” he told the press in the court hall.

He was sentenced to three years' imprisonment, handed down in April 2019 by the Court of Appeal, for fraud carried out by an organized gang during 1998 and 1999. A sentence enforcement judge had ordered the partial revocation for 18 months of this sentence, considering that several obligations set for Marco Mouly had not been respected.

Awaiting his judgment

Next Tuesday, this figure in the giant VAT scam on the carbon market will hear the court's judgment on a case of fraud and fraudulent organization of insolvency. Marco Mouly is notably accused of having organized his insolvency by reducing his copyright in publishing contracts, or by hiding income within the framework of an influencer contract.

Four years in prison as well as a permanent ban on managing a company were required. The prosecution, during more than an hour of indictment, pointed out the constant “search for impoverishment” on the part of the defendant, who would have voluntarily avoided obtaining “income that could be seized”, preventing the reimbursement of his judicial debts.
