According to Midi Libre, the Douais magistrate, particularly very active in the fight against drug trafficking, had already been the subject of written threats in the past. But recently a new threat concerning a certain “magistrate from Douai named Frédéric” reached the ears of the police. However in Douai, 2 magistrates bear this first name: himself but also Frédéric Fèvre, the attorney general. It was therefore following this threat that the two lawyers were placed under police protection.

4 people placed in police custody

Still according to Midi Libre, it was not far from Frédéric Fèvre's home that the police spotted two suspicious cars parked on Tuesday October 29. One of them tried to escape control but was caught very quickly. Placed in police custody, the 4 people explained that she was scouting for a burglary at the home of a wealthy individual who was not a magistrate. No evidence has established that the magistrates were targeted. However, a replica firearm was seized during a search.
