Associations are fragile. Even those that are more than twenty years old. Au Fil des Séounes offers a new example. However, its themes are on the rise: environmental education, ecology, with very practical workshops, interventions in schools… Like the very popular one around organic cosmetics to do yourself .

But, that is not enough. “We have lost our historic treasurer,” explain Pauline Oliviera, project manager, and Anne Loubriat, president of the association. Without value judgement. But it is a reference, a skill in the association, which is lacking today.

Two layoffs

So, the association called on the local support system, a public system specialized in monitoring these employer associations in difficulty. “We have always paid attention to our employees, hiring them on permanent contracts to allow them to consider the future,” explains Anne Loubriat. Kindness that is, unfortunately, expensive. So, with heartbreak, the association separated from its employees. Two people were made redundant out of six employees.

Au Fil des Séounes does not intend to let itself be drawn into a spiral. It is a virtuous circle that she intends to return to. So, the association launched crowdfunding via Hello Asso. “We chose this platform because even if the objective [10 000 euros, NDRL] is not reached, we will still receive what is paid,” explains Pauline Oliviera. The prize pool is open until December 11.

Au Fil des Séounes is also reviewing its organization, “by consolidating our service offering rather than intervening on demand”, according to the project manager. And will invest more in its premises in La Sauvetat-de-Savers. “The prize pool allows us to have a breath of fresh air, while we set up this new organization. »
