A mysterious symbol is found in a field by a farmer in the English Channel

This is a question to which Thomas Onfroy, a farmer based in Valcanville, cannot find an answer. Who could possibly be at the origin of the gigantic agrogram drawn in one of its fields?, in Sainte-Geneviève, in the night? A group of artists? Aliens ?

The strange pattern, called crop circle in English, takes shape with the collapse of part of the wheat strands.“Saturday June 8 morning, I drove past the plot in a tractor, like every day, remembers the young farmer. I realized that some wheat had fallen, but I didn’t worry, I thought it was because of the wind. But it still intrigued me, because it was the only area concerned. When I arrived there, I realized that it was not due to the wind“. Thomas Onfroy then discovered a gigantic pattern, 70 meters long, composed of several circles and semi-circles. Collapsed cobs in “perfect symmetry, both on the lines and the curves”notes the farmer.

Facing his plot of withered wheat, my first emotion is a little nervousness, admits the farmer. Because it’s still a part of my culture that is destroyed”. Amount of losses: “300 euros“. But today, the farmer is especially in “the misunderstanding. What happened? I would like to know the truth”.

Budding artist or extra-terrestrials?

The investigation begins. At the tobacco bar L’Océane, in Valcanville, no one is yet aware of the presence of the agrogram, located one kilometer away. It’s beautiful, it’s incredible work, declares Vincent Jean, the co-manager of the business, amazed by discovering photography in the Channel Pressthe first to speak about the affair. It’s the work of an artist, that’s for sure.”
For Marcel, one of the customers, there is no question of Martians either: “the phenomenon has been known for around fifteen years in England”.

The farmer remains open to all possibilities. “It’s almost impossible to do by hand, alone.he believes. And people in a plot, like that, at the foot of a road, that’s noticeable. So yes, that leaves a lot of questions.” A specialist in crop circles even came to inspect the field this Thursday, June 13: “he was quite annoyed, he could not certify that the agrogram was made by a human“. Mystery.
