A dog trapped underground for 24 hours in Générargues, in Gard, was saved last Sunday by firefighters. Using their specialized equipment, they managed to locate and remove the animal.
On November 3, the Gard firefighters carried out an unusual intervention in Générargues: they were called to rescue a dog who had been stuck underground for almost 24 hours. It was the team from the Alès rescue center who intervened to help the animal, trapped in a cavity two meters deep and three to four meters long.
The rescue operation filmed:
The team used their multi-purpose off-road vehicle to reach this difficult-to-access terrain and thus set up a delicate operation, filmed to document the rescue. Equipped with advanced tracking equipment, firefighters were able to precisely pinpoint the dog's location before digging and clearing a safe passage to get him out.
“You were at the top”
The dog, safe and sound, was able to be returned to its owner, visibly relieved. On Facebook, the dog's owner expressed his gratitude to the firefighters. “Another big, big thank you to the entire fire team, you were at the top” he wrote on Facebook!
