Manager of the Nîmes club, Steeve Calligaro adds another string to his bow by becoming the new president of UPE 30.

Steeve Calligaro, already well known as president of the Rugby Club Nîmois, was elected president of the employers' union UPE 30 – Medef during the board meeting this Thursday, November 7.

Change of presidency after an interim period

The election of Steeve Calligaro comes after the resignation of former president David Mélenchon on September 5, citing “deep strategic differences with the members of the office”. Following this resignation, Gilles Laumesfelt acted as interim until the organization of this internal vote. Joined by Steeve Calligaro in October during the last general assembly, the board of directors of UPE 30 – Medef Gard expressed its desire to strengthen its presence with companies throughout the territory.

The objective is clear: to become a unifying and representative actor of local business concerns while promoting an ambitious vision of economic development. The new president underlined the collective roadmap of the organization, focused on an increased field presence, listening to the needs of businesses, and bringing together different employer bodies and federations.
