It is a vast restructuring project which is planned for the Castelsarrasin-Moissac hospital center (Tarn-et-Garonne). A budget of 8 million euros is necessary to modernize the establishment.
A new operating theater and reorganization of services
This project plans to build a new technical platform (operating theater) which is more modern, to develop the outpatient unit, to renew the consultation platform and to bring together the surgery department which is currently spread over two levels.
The rooms will also be equipped for offer individual spaces, compliant with the latest health standards. The project also provides for the acquisition of modern equipment, including one IRM.
An 8 million euro project
As a reminder, the hospital has a capacity of 146 units.
This work, which must meet the needs of patients and caregivers, is estimated at 8 million euros and the ARS has already committed to financing half of it.
An essential role for health
Local authorities are invited to participate in the cost of this restructuring which aims to ensure the sustainability of the establishment and its essential role for public health in the west of the department.
“We are at the heart of a health area of 80,000 inhabitants and close to a nuclear power plant: we need a healthy hospital structure with reinforced services! A dynamic hospital is a hospital that serves the health centers and health centers in the region. Our healthcare staff deserve it,” said Romain Lopez, the mayor of Moissac.
