More and more calm and sunny. This is the general trend emerging for this weekend of November 11, according to Météo France forecasts.
After a start to the day on Saturday which will remain marked by bad weather in the South, increasingly calm weather will prevail across the country. Furthermore, while temperatures will be seasonal in the southern half of France, they will generally be higher than standards in the northern half.
Saturday: agitation in the South, calm in the North
Following a very disturbed night in the South, on the western part of the Mediterranean coasts, the day should start with rain, except in the Pyrénées-Orientales. This precipitation will affect the south of Occitanie and New Aquitaine over the hours. The situation will improve from the end of the afternoon.
Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be calm. The sky will be overcast, especially in the morning. In the afternoon, it will clear over almost the entire eastern half of France, except in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
Maximum temperatures will range from around ten to around fifteen degrees in the northern half, or even a little more, up to 5°C higher than the seasonal averages. In the southern half it will be around fifteen degrees up to 18°C-19°C, within the norms for the month of November.
During the night, for those going out between Saturday and Sunday, the weather will be calm. Apart from perhaps a few isolated showers in Occitania, not a drop should fall. However, the weather would be mostly overcast, except in the most southern regions. In the northern part of the country, fog should often be present, like every day since last week. This requires particular vigilance for people using the road.
Sunday: the sun wins
The morning will once again be marked by widespread fog across a large northern half of the country. In the South, the sun will be present. During the afternoon, it should take over in almost all regions. But in Center-Val de Loire and Île-de-France, the sky could remain blocked until the end of the day.
Maximum temperatures will remain in the same range as the day before. However, they will gain two or three degrees in the South-East.
Start of next week: the weekend extends to Monday before the change
Monday, a public holiday, should be very similar to Sunday, with calm weather. The sun should shine all day in the southern half and break through as best it can during the day in the northern half. Maximum temperatures could drop a little in the North while remaining above normal; they would remain stable in the South.
On Tuesday, a clear change looms. Precipitation could arrive from the east before progressing across the country. Part of the coasts along the Mediterranean and Atlantic would remain apart. The thermometer should start to drop several degrees.
