Thunderstorms will hit Friday, November 8, at the end of the day, in Hérault and Aude, with a risk of flooding in these two departments placed on orange vigilance by Météo- from 6 p.m. Precipitation is expected in the plains and on the coast, the press release specifies.

The storms will last “much of the night from Friday to Saturday” and will accompany each other “heavy rain with hourly intensities reaching 50 to 60 mm/h”further underlines Météo-France, specifying that “the cumulative rainfall for this stormy episode can reach 80 to 120 mm [et] locally 150/180 mm ».

Bouches-du-Rhône, , , Corsica and the Pyrénées-Orientales are also on yellow alert due to thunderstorms, but of lesser intensity.
