The end of a long ordeal for Iris Mittenaere. On the night of Wednesday November 6 to Thursday November 7, her ex-companion, Bruno Pelat, was sentenced by the Paris criminal court to one year in prison, including six prison sentences for domestic violence.

The 22-year-old young man was on trial for having hit his then partner on the evening of September 25, as well as for banging her head against a wall and threatening to make her lose her professional contracts.

Already convicted by the courts

His prison sentence will be at home under electronic bracelet with obligation of care and ban on contacting Iris Mittenaere and approach his home. The 31-year-old ex-miss arrived very emotional in the courtroom and her lawyer had obtained from the court that the proceedings take place behind closed doors to preserve her client's privacy.

Bruno Pelat should have been tried immediately on September 27 after his custody, but the hearing was postponed at the request of Miss Universe 2016who claimed not to be “psychologically capable” of coming.

The young man had already been sentenced in June 2022 for violence and death threats against his father, then in April 2023 for violence against another partner.
