Steeve Calligaro was known for his role as president of the Rugby Club Nîmes, he will now also be known as president of the employers' union UPE 30 – Medef Gard.
This election follows the resignation of David Mélenchon from his post on September 5 for “deep strategic differences with the members of the office” (Gard: the president of the employers' union UPE 30 David Mélenchon resigns), it was Gilles Laumesfelt who became interim president during the interval.
Steeve Calligaro is therefore since the board of directors meeting this Thursday, November 7, the new president of UPE 30 Medef Gard. He joined the Board of Directors of the employers' union in October during the last general assembly.
This 48-year-old business leader, father of three children, is the Managing Director of Adrexo Production (140 employees and 5 sites) and member of the Adrexo management committee (13,000 employees) for 18 years, in the Spir Communication group then Hopps Group.
“Having returned to Nîmes for 8 years now after several moves, it is now time for me to get involved in serving the companies that provide the dynamism and cohesion of our territories.
The roadmap of the UPE30/Medef union, supported by the entire board of directors, must be to develop its field presence throughout the Gard territory, to be the worthy representative of our union but also the local branch listening to businesses, being the unifier of employers' bodies and federations and, in general, of all the active forces wishing to work towards responsible and ambitious economic development.
It is with immense pleasure and certain gratitude that I agree to be the custodian of this collective ambition by becoming the president of UPE30/Medef” declares Steeve Calligaro, president of UPE 30, RCN and member of the CCI Gard.
