Sictomu, a waste collection and sorting union Uzège Pont du Gardis mobilizing on the occasion of the European Waste Reduction Weekfrom November 16 to 24. For the first time, Sictomu brought together its partners to participate in this event and raise awareness among young and old about ecological issues.
Waste reduction, a busy schedule
The Photo Rally has already started. Around the theme “let's reduce, reuse, recycle”, it is aimed at photography enthusiasts and enthusiasts who are invited to capture autumn scenes linked to zero waste cooking or eco-responsible gardening. Annual event of Sud Rhône environment, the toy collection Let your heart speak, a solidarity and responsible initiative which allows us to collect donations for local associations, will take place all week, with two collection points in Uzès and Remoulins.
Saturday November 16.
Direction Sanilhac-Sagriès where volunteers meet to clean the scrubland from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.; from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., DIY (do it yourself) workshop at Geckologis before the zero waste aperitif to inaugurate the Week at 5:45 p.m.; then film debate, at 7 p.m., with “Challenge throwers, united, circular, sustainable”.
Sunday November 17.
Activities on shared composting sites.
Monday November 18.
At the CSI of Saint-Quentin, at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., waste fresco and food waste fresco. At the Maison du beaver in Collias, waste fresco at 2 p.m. (free entry to the museum).
Tuesday November 19.
At the Uzès eco-citizen café Amande & co, anti-waste cooking workshop, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday November 20.
From 9 a.m., Recover & Repair day at the Maison de la pierre in Vers, with children's clothing exchange, workshops… at Arru, in Montaren, sustainable fashion morning. Fresco of food waste at the old church of Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan at 6 p.m.
Thursday November 21.
2 p.m.-4 p.m., awareness raising and cooking at the CSI of Saint-Quentin.
Friday November 22.
At 2 p.m., composting and sorting awareness at Amande & co.
Saturday November 23.
At the CSI of Saint-Quentin, toy fair between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and textile workshop from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (for 7-12 year olds). At Arru, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., awareness of fast fashion with FripSo. In Remoulins, open days at the Ressourcerie from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and, at the Maison des associations, closing of the week with prize giving for the Photo Rally from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., then film debate at 7 p.m. with “The Part of Others”.
Sunday November 24.
Toy fair at the CSI of Saint-Quentin from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and activities on shared composting sites.
