It is the last department of Hauts-de-France to see this decree published. This Thursday, November 7, the prefect of theOise a prolonged the period d’spreading of one month, a decision already taken by the four other departments in the region.
Manure, slurry and products from methanization are concerned
The decree was published this Thursday, November 7 in the Collection of administrative acts of the Oise prefecture. “The spreading of organic nitrogen effluents is exceptionally authorized in the Oise until November 15,” specifies the text of the decree. However, spreading remains prohibited within the protection perimeters of water catchments intended for human consumption, as well as on drowned or flooded soils.
Concretely, these organic nitrogen effluents include products such as manure (solid mixture of animal excrement and litter such as cereal straw, ferns, wood shavings) and slurry (liquid mixture of animal excrement and water). The products resulting from methanization are also concerned.
A one month extension
This measure comes to support farmers after the poor weather conditions of recent weeks. This could have had the effect of making certain plots inaccessible for spreading. At this time of year, farmers empty the various slurry and manure pits, otherwise these pits would overflow.
This extension therefore allows farmers to benefit from one more month for the spreading of manure and slurry.
