A pedestrian was struck by a TER (Regional Express Train) on Wednesday November 6, 2024 around 9:30 p.m., on the rail line linking La Roche-sur-Yon to Nantes. The collision took place in the new town of Bellevigny, near La Roche-sur-Yon, in Vendée. The victim died.
Resumption of traffic around midnight
The TER involved in the accident, which transported 300 people according to the SNCF, restarted shortly before midnight. The collision also caused a TGV carrying 90 passengers to stop at the platform of the Accommodation station, which also left around midnight.
