Tarascon-sur-Ariège. Social center: summer promises to be beautiful

The holidays are approaching and the town hall’s social center, supported by Caf, is pulling out all the stops to offer a great program to the Tarasconnais. On the family side, the child-parent workshops will get off to a flying start with a first week focused on piracy. The cooking workshop, on this theme, promises to be surprising. Three other culinary events are on the program, one per week until the end of July. Outings to the extraordinary garden, to the Puppet festival, gardening, storytelling workshop and cinema with Ludivine Moreno and Caméra au fist complete these beautiful proposals which combine leisure, education and parenting. On the youth side, construction sites are in the spotlight. “You commit and you benefit from something in return.” The 1st, now traditional, with the Ophlm de l’Ariège, will beautify the outdoor spaces of group 5 and see the young people go to the sea at the same time. The 2nd, at the nursing home, after the success of the fresco created in the spring, will bring together young people and residents around the therapeutic garden. Of course, leisure activities will take pride of place, with outings, including the first in Montbel for catamaran sailing, or on July 25 around water games in the Volvestre at the invitation of the local association “L’Envol” . Evenings: presence at the party and at the “Rythmes du Monde” festival, the entertainers will not be idle and the young people will not be bored. The Youth Space will be open every day, at the Social Center (Maison des Jeunes), from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday. Youth projects are born here. But here, we also have the right to do nothing, to “chill”. After all, that’s also what holidays are like.
