During the long weekend of the ascent, the cyclo de Montaut organized a stay in Vaucluse. Eighteen participants responded to tackle the slopes of the legendary Mont-Ventoux, based in Malaucène.
At the foot of Ventoux, the cyclists and the group of walkers were able to organize their days according to their wishes. For the cyclists, the question did not arise, it had to be faced. Some did it from both sides and others only one and that was quite enough. The sides via Malaucène and Bédouin are the hardest with an ascent of 21 km and an average percentage of 7.30%. By Sault, the distance is longer, 26 km, but the average percentage is lower, 4.50%. .
Then the cyclists discovered the Nesque gorges, where they were able to discover magnificent landscapes and the famous Tour du Ventoux. The group of walkers did several hikes, the Dentelles de Montmirail and the “Chemin des Lavandes” hike in Sault. Of course, they also discovered the small villages around Malaucène. The atmosphere was very friendly and what’s more, everyone was able to benefit from splendid weather and, above all, no wind, which is rare in this area. The members of the office thank all the participants for making this stay very pleasant.
