This is unheard of in Vendée. The final of the MTB Trial World Cup, organized by the Vendée departmental cycling committee located in La Roche-sur-Yon, takes place from November 22 to 24, 2024. For the first time, the competition will take place entirely in indoor, at Vendespace in Mouilleron-le-Captif.
What is MTB Trial?
A demanding discipline, MTB Trial combines technique and agility. The pilots, called riders, must overcome obstacles without setting foot on the ground, demonstrating their mastery of the bike. Competitions take place on specific courses, rated by judges according to the virtuosity of the participants.
A promising finale
This 2024 edition brings together more than 150 pilots from more than fifteen nationalities, including European and Latin American countries. Competing categories include elite women and the elite men 20″ et 26 ». Renowned athletes, such as Vendée Emma Louineau and British champion Charlie Rolls, are expected.
Weekend program
The competition begins on November 22 with the quarter-finals. On Saturday, the elite women enter the fray, followed by a spectacular evening show. The finals take place on Sunday, with free access on Friday and affordable prices for the weekend.
The organization of this event represents a major technical challenge, requiring the transformation of Vendespace into a competition space in just three days. More than 150 volunteers are mobilized to ensure the success of this final.
