Montreal, June 10, 2024 – Following the recent announcement of the new bus service in the Greater South-West, more specifically in the Lachine and LaSalle sectors, the STM invites customers to an “open house” evening on Tuesday, June 11, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Cégep André-Laurendeau located at 1111 rue Lapierre, in LaSalle.

This event will be an opportunity to learn more about the new bus service. For the occasion, STM representatives will be present to answer visitors’ questions.

Citizens interested in participating can register by clicking here.

For those unable to participate, the STM will hold an information booth during the Lachine Festival on August 17.

Furthermore, a geolocalized campaign is underway in the two districts to familiarize themselves with the new service. This information campaign, distributed through a combination of digital and social media, as well as display in the bus and metro networks, will allow customers in these sectors to visualize the new routes, at using a journey simulator.

The journey simulator will provide route options, comparing the old and new services, in order to support customers through these different changes, ahead of the entry into service on August 26. The STM invites its customers to familiarize themselves with the new bus network in these sectors by exploring this tool on the site stm.info/refontebus2024.

Furthermore, the STM would like to inform its customers that it has started updating its stop signs, in preparation for the entry into service of the new bus service. Actions on the ground are also planned, with the presence of STM representatives to inform customers for a few weeks during the commissioning.
