Gers is in 3rd place in the list of departments with the best pass rates for the B license in 2023. Tarn-et-Garonne is at the bottom of the ranking.
What is the best department to get your driving test? Our colleagues from Maine Libre looked into the question. It all started with a Capital study, based on data provided by the En Voiture Simone driving school. Maine Libre, however, changed its methodology by relying on more complete statistics from the Ministry of the Interior.
Lozère at the top of the ranking
From there, a ranking of the departments with the highest success rate for the B license exams could be established. This is dominated by Lozère, which has a success rate of 72.5%. Haute-Corse follows very closely with a rate of 71.20% and Gers completes the podium with a rate of 69.10% for 3,764 declared candidates. Note that the Gers success rate rises to 82.7% for candidates who benefited from accompanied driving.
Among the other departments of Occitanie, Lot also stands out with a rate of 67.50% for 3,126 candidates. Further afield, we find Gard with a success rate of 61.8%, Tarn (58.6%), Hautes-Pyrénées (56.9%), Haute-Garonne (54.8%), Aude (54.5%), Hérault (54.3%), Aveyron (53.9%) and Pyrénées-Orientales (51.9%). Tarn-et-Garonne is at the bottom of the ranking with a rate of 50.8%, with Val-de-Marne bringing up the rear nationally (43.10%).
