This complex of more than 8,000 square meters, which hosts 18 sports associations, took the name of a former Nîmes athlete: Ludivine Furnon. The latter was notably European gymnastics champion in 2000 and bronze medalist at the Sabae Worldsin Japan, five years earlier. “It was the mayor of Nîmes who asked me to give my name to this new building”she explains, on Bleu Lozère, this Wednesday morning.

Ludivine Furnon admits to having been really surprised by the elected official's proposal. “Yes, at first I didn't believe itshe said.
