Eight pharmacies were robbed on the night of Monday November 4 to Tuesday November 5, 2024 in Morbihan. As Le Télégramme revealed, five of them are in the Vannes sector (Plescop, Sulniac, Questembert, Saint-Nolff and Elven), the others being located in Carnac, Quéven and Plœmeur.
“Instructions have been given”
The burglars forced open doors or windows on the ground floor of pharmacies to enter the premises and steal the cash. “The gain is minimal because we have nothing in our coffers with the third-party payer,” underlines Véronique Prié, vice-president of the Order of Pharmacists in Morbihan. This is confirmed by the gendarmerie which indicates “that the loss of the damage caused is greater than the amount stolen”, indicates, for its part, the Vannes gendarmerie company.
“On the videos, we see two men enter the premises, take the cash register and leave. It's extremely short, continues Véronique Prié. It's traumatic for us pharmacists because it's an unpleasant intrusion. Instructions were given. In particular, you should not hesitate to contact the security representatives of the gendarmerie or the police, because they have sound advice to avoid points of weakness. »
The investigations were entrusted to the brigade communities of Saint-Avé and Questembert as well as the Vannes research brigade. It should be noted that last week six pharmacies in Finistère were visited by burglars. Here again, there were two of them and they used the same procedure.
