Running: strong mobilization for a good cause during the Foulées Bussiéroises (Creuse)

This year, Buss'tonic organized its 11e Bussieres Strides on a new route and something new: a trail with two distances starting from the Etang de la Vergne with 14 km, with 330 m of positive altitude difference, and 8 km, with 140 D+, for the benefit of the fight against 'Freidreich's ataxia.

Maïlys and Jordan, two teenagers from the town of Bussière-Dunoise, suffer from Freidreich's ataxia, a genetic disease causing problems with the coordination of movements and which affects 1,500 people in .

Sensitive to this cause, the Buss'tonic association organizes a charitable sporting event every year, on 1is November, around the municipal pond of La Vergne. Registration was open to all and the profits will be donated to the AFAF, which works to benefit the fight against Freidreich's Ataxia. A nice gesture addressed to Maïlys and Jordan, who honor these Foulées Bussiéroises with their presence.

More and more people are responding: 184 runners and 140 walkers took advantage of weather conducive to the practice of this discipline, without wind, and in almost summer mildness. Far from being completely flat, the route had some difficulties in store. 120 meals were served following the race. Volunteers were on deck early to make this event a success.
