Why such a project?
The planned work consists of create an extension behind the existing room. They will start on November 11, 2024.
We have already cleared the surface which will correspond to a second room : two rooms, two atmospheres. If the craftsmen manage to meet the deadlines (two months), the bar will be open early January 2025. Closure for work is scheduled for December 20.
Who are the designers, project managers and craftsmen?
And architectural firm de Dinan oversees around fifteen local artisans. B.W. Agence d’architecture works on the plans of Marcin Wiacek, architect-designer in Évran.
And the restaurant project?
It's still being considered, but we're not sure it's operational upon opening April-May 2025. But ultimately, yes, it will be a restaurant.
What will happen to the programming of concerts and others?
In January 2025, we will not reopen the concert hall. We plan to keep the Friday appointment under a barnum. It's about not losing all the fans of the Test Tube during closing.
We must make sure to keep a minimum of cultural fire until the reopening at the end of the work. Other events may take place in other placess at the initiative of l’Éprouvette. Communication will be made in a timely manner.
Will the cooperative grocery store also be closed?
No, it will remain open. This is not not necessarily the same clientele than that of the bar and concerts.
How will employees overcome this period?
There is a will to do continue the project. Nobody wants to leave the project. Personally, I will take advantage of it to travel until May.
The project explained: Wednesday, November 13, at 6:30 p.m., the member aperitif will be an opportunity to come and find out more about the closure period and the future transformation of the Eprouvette. Suggestions regarding communication will be welcomed.
